To verify your platform readiness and driving record, we request high-resolution photographs of your valid driver's license, motor vehicle record summaries, and proof of your active gig platform driver account (such as Uber, DoorDash, or Instacart profile screenshots).
When purchasing digital driver-education guides or training toolkits from our online store, our PCI-compliant payment gateway collects billing details, credit card metadata, and purchase history. GigsFleet never stores complete unencrypted credit card numbers on local depot servers.
2. How your records are utilized
Operational Use OnlyDriver documentation is processed solely for vehicle qualification and fleet safety.
Your documents are reviewed manually and securely by our fleet onboarding team to verify driving eligibility, platform compliance, and commercial insurance coverage.
We use your contact details to provide reservation status updates, routine maintenance schedules, depot check-in reminders, and emergency roadside coordination during active rental periods.
Driver records and application data are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with third-party marketing entities or advertising brokers under any circumstances.
3. Document retention and storage
Encrypted StorageRecords are retained strictly within regulatory vehicle management timelines.
Application records, identity scans, and rental inspection logs are secured using AES-256 encryption at rest and transmitted using secure TLS connections.
For approved drivers with active vehicle agreements, records are maintained throughout the lease duration and retained for seven years following agreement closure to comply with commercial vehicle licensing and insurance laws.
Unapproved application submissions and incomplete records are permanently purged from our primary verification systems within ninety days of review.

Terms of service
These terms define driver qualifications, weekly renewal cycles, maintenance responsibilities, and guidelines for renting vehicles and purchasing digital driver resources from GigsFleet.
Driver qualifications and verification
Mandatory criteria required to operate any vehicle in the fleet.
Every driver must complete an onboarding review and motor vehicle records check before receiving vehicle keys. We do not provide instantaneous bookings; all access is conditional upon active verification.
Key operating terms:
- Minimum 21 years of age with at least 12 months of licensed driving history in the United States.
- Valid, unexpired state-issued driver's license with clean record (no major moving violations within 36 months).
- Active, verified driver profile on an approved platform (Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, or equivalent).
- Immediate disclosure of any moving violations, ticket summons, or license suspensions while enrolled.
Weekly billing cycles and automatic renewals
Clear schedule for recurring weekly charges and payment methods.
Vehicles are provided on a recurring 7-day rental basis. Your weekly rate includes baseline commercial insurance and scheduled fleet maintenance. Billings process automatically on your assigned billing day.
Key operating terms:
- Rental periods run in consecutive 7-day increments starting on your initial vehicle check-out timestamp.
- Renewal charges are billed automatically 24 hours prior to the next weekly cycle to your card on file.
- If automatic payment fails, a 12-hour grace period is granted before vehicle immobilization systems activate.
- All pricing is strictly weekly with no prorated daily refunds for mid-week vehicle turn-ins.
Security deposit holds and deductions
How upfront refundable deposits are secured, managed, and refunded.
A refundable security deposit hold is placed upon vehicle pickup. This reserve covers unpaid tolls, fuel shortfalls, excessive interior dirt, or deductible liabilities resulting from minor incidents.

- Security deposits are processed as an authorized payment hold or ledger reserve upon signing.
- Final reconciliations process within 3 business days following the completed return inspection.
- Authorized deductions include unpaid bridge/toll road charges, unreturned keys, and detailing charges.
- Drivers receive an itemized receipt detailing any deductions made against their deposit.
Strict authorized driver restrictions
Exclusive driving permissions and zero-tolerance sub-leasing rules.
Only the individual verified driver listed on the rental agreement is legally authorized to start, drive, or park the fleet vehicle. Subletting or sharing the vehicle is strictly forbidden.
Key operating terms:
- Allowing third parties, family members, or friends to operate the vehicle voids all insurance protections.
- Unauthorized driver operation results in immediate agreement termination and retrieval of the vehicle.
- The verified account holder remains 100% financially liable for all damages caused by an unauthorized driver.
Maintenance obligations and vehicle care
Routine upkeep responsibilities and depot inspection visits.
We handle manufacturer-scheduled oil changes, tire rotations, and component replacements at our depot. Drivers are responsible for daily fluid checks and reporting dashboard indicators.
Key operating terms:
- Routine oil changes and scheduled servicing must be performed at our Joliet fleet depot at 5,000-mile intervals.
- Drivers must immediately stop driving and notify support if warning indicators (check engine, oil, brakes) appear.
- Depot technician repairs are covered under regular rental use; user neglect or improper fuel fills are driver liabilities.
- Vehicles must be returned washed and vacuumed to avoid our standard depot cleaning fee.
Authorized gig platform usage terms
Permitted business use on rideshare and logistics networks.
Fleet vehicles are insured specifically for commercial rideshare and parcel logistics on documented platforms. Personal leisure use is permitted within our reasonable mileage bounds.
Key operating terms:
- Vehicles are verified and approved for active operation with Uber and courier delivery apps.
- Operating a GigsFleet vehicle for unapproved off-book transportation or illegal activities is banned.
- Drivers must maintain personal rideshare platform app coverage active during active passenger trips.
- Depot documentation must stay inside the glove compartment at all times during road operation.
Agreement cancellation and return procedures
Notice requirements to close weekly agreements and return the car.
You may end your weekly rental at the close of any 7-day cycle. Returns must be arranged during operational depot hours with an on-site technician.
Key operating terms:
- Written notice via our driver portal or email is required at least 48 hours before your next weekly billing date.
- Vehicles must be returned to Joliet, IL 60432, during listed depot hours (Mon-Sat).
- A complete walkaround check-in report will be signed by both you and the attending fleet technician.
- Failure to return a vehicle following agreement termination will be reported as unlawful retention.
Digital education products and store items
Licensing terms for downloadable spreadsheets, toolkits, and guides.
GigsFleet sells digital resources including spreadsheets, guides, and courses. These digital assets are distributed under a limited personal-use license and are non-transferable.
Key operating terms:
- All digital products (trackers, toolkits, compliance checklists) are delivered instantly via digital download.
- Due to the immediate access nature of digital files, all digital store sales are strictly final and non-refundable.
- Guides and templates may not be redistributed, resold, or shared across multi-driver communities without permission.
- Educational products provide organizational frameworks and templates, not individual tax or legal counsel.
No earnings or income guarantees
Clarification on variable market conditions and independent contractor status.
GigsFleet is an independent fleet management and vehicle rental company. We are not an employer, partner, or agent of Uber or any delivery network.

- We do not promise, guarantee, or project specific weekly net earnings or ride allocations.
- Your earnings depend entirely on market demand, seasonal shifts, hours worked, and platform algorithms.
- Drivers operate as independent business operators and are solely responsible for their self-employment taxes.
